COMMUNITY CENTER SAFE PLACE POLICY

Beginning June 1, 2007, the Solon Community Center will be enforcing ordinance 274.085 of the administration code which was enacted by the Mayor of Solon and the Solon City Council, whereby convicted sex offenders will be denied entrance to and use of all Solon Community Center facilities.  This action is necessary to properly protect our residents, members and guests.

The New policy will be as follows: All first time members or any persons age 18 and over renewing a membership must provide a valid driver’s license.

All daily guests will also be required to provide a valid driver’s license for entry into any of the Solon Community Center facilities.

There will be no exceptions to this policy.

Group Fitness Classes

There are three ways to participate in Solon Community Center Group Fitness Classes:

1. Sign up for the 8-week session. This is the least expensive option and guarantees your spot in the class. Cost is based on class and length of session.
2. Purchase a Punch Card for $40.00 allowing you to attend 11 classes. This option offers the greatest flexibility to participate in different classes. Punch cards must be present upon entering class.
3. Purchase a daily drop-in pass. This is the most expensive means to participate in classes and must be purchased in conjunction with a daily pass or a Solon Community Center Membership.
*****Please note that some specialty classes may require an additional fee.

Advanced Power Sculpt
Cardio Interval
Double Step
Indoor Cycling
Kickboxing
Pilates Mat.
Step and Sculpt Interval
Sunrise Step Aerobics
Yoga
Zumba

All of the above transactions are conducted at the Community Center front desk. It is recommended that those needing to register for class or purchase a punch card/drop in pass allow for ample time if attending class on the same day.

Participants will be checked in as they enter the aerobics room and should be listed on the class roster, or prepared to present their punch card or drop in receipt to the fitness attendant. Classes typically follow an hour format incorporating a warm up and cool down. For this reason participants will not be allowed to join a class more than five minutes after start time.

Participants are asked to set up and return all necessary equipment required for participation. Please report any unsafe conditions to the instructor or fitness attendant. Group fitness equipment is not available during non class times.

Please observe common courtesy when entering or exiting the aerobic studio.

Registration information and class descriptions can be found on the group fitness bulletin board located between the fitness mezzanine restrooms or in the information rack located by the front desk. Specific questions should be directed to the Aerobics Coordinator or Community Center Manager.
