Solon Summer/Adventure Camp Registration Forms

Two camps are offered during the summer.  Summer Camp is for K-4th graders and Adventure Camp is for 5th & 6th graders.  Both are held at SMS/Parkside and run under the same staff.  The only differences are the age groups of the children, ratios of campers to counselors and the activities in which the children participate in.  All grades used for the 2008 camps are the grades the children are in during the 2007-2008 school year.  For complete information about the camps, please check out the Camper Handbook available on this webpage.

Camp Hours, Locations and Dates:
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Camp is held at SMS/Parkside School
Session 1: June 16 – June 27
Session 2: June 30 – July 11 (no camp July 4th)
Session 3: July 14 – July 25
Session 4: July 28 – August 8
Starting July 29 camp will be held at the Solon Community Park.  The number to the camp office at the SCP is (440) 337-1407.

Balances Due:
Just a reminder that we do not send out bills for the balances that are due for camp.  Late payments will not be tolerated.  It is your responsibility to make sure all payments are made on time.  A late fee of $10.00 per child per session will be added to any balance not paid on time.  All payments must be paid at the Solon Community Center.  Due dates are:
            Session 2 – Due by Saturday, June 14th
            Session 3 – Due by Saturday, June 28th
            Session 4 – Due by Saturday, July 12th

Extended Care:

• Extended Care is offered on a drop-in basis.
• AM Extended Care is held at the SMS gym from 7:00 AM – 8:50 AM
• PM Extended Care is held at the Community Park under the pavilion from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• If your child needs PM Extended Care, you must send a note with your child indicating he/she will be using the extended care program.
• All campers must be signed in/out by a parent.  The sign-in sheet will be with the counselors at each location.  If there is no signature, you will be billed the maximum amount.
• Once again, all Extended Care must be pre-paid.  Payments must be made in advance at the Community Center.  For more information, please click the Extended Care Flyer above.
• Extended Care bills for emergency situations will be mailed out immediately with a due date written on them.  There will be a $10.00 per child late extended care payment.  Please pay your balances on time.
• Price breakdowns for Extended Care are in the Camper Handbook.
• If your child is picked up after 6:00 PM, you will be charged $2.00 per minute per child thereafter.

Don’t forget to send your child with a brown bag packed lunch and drink each day.  Check the Day-by-Day schedule to see if you need a bathing suit and towel.  Also, tennis shoes and socks work best for camp, no sandals please.  Roller-shoes are not permitted at camp.
