Two camps are offered during the
summer. Both are held at the same location and run
under the same staff. The prime differences are the
age group of the children, ratios of campers to
counselors and activities they participate in. All
grades used for the 2011 camps are the grades the
children are in during the 2010 to 2011 school year.
Summer Camp
The Solon Summer Camp is a day camp
for pre-kindergarten to fourth graders (child must
be at least 5 years old and no older than 12 on
their first day of camp). Camp consists of sports,
swimming, activities, field trips and much, much
more. The campers will have one big field trip per
week, included in the fee for camp. A tentative
calendar will be available prior to registration.
Adventure Camp
The Solon Adventure Camp is a day
camp for current fifth & sixth graders (child must
be 12 years old or younger on their first day of
camp). This camp provides the older campers with
more age appropriate activities and field trips,
approximately three trips per week. Adventure Camp
stresses group cooperation and respect,
socialization with peers and developing a personal
enjoyment of outdoor activities. A tentative
calendar will be available prior to registration.

CAMP REGISTRATION FORMS
If you participated in the 2010 Summer Camp,
your 2011 registration forms will be mailed to
your house in February 2011. These forms
will be mostly filled out for you, all you will
need to do is check over the information and
update any that has changed and sign them.
We hope this helps speed up the registration
process. Blank registration forms will be
available at the Community Center on February
16, 2011.
You can
download forms from THE LINKS ON THE RIGHT SIDE
OF THIS PAGE.
Camp Medical Form - one per child;
Camp Payment Form - one
per family.
Registration Information
A medical form must be filled out
prior to the acceptance of any fees or placement of
child on the camp roster.
Please have doctors / dentists names and phone
numbers handy. Although it is not mandatory, we
would appreciate it if you had the medical form
notarized. Notary Service is available at the
Community Center and City Hall, free of charge. You
may pick up registration and medical forms in
advance, so that you can have them filled out prior
to registration. (A doctor’s signature is not
required.)
There is a limit to the number of
registrants due to space limitations and safety
factors. Your child must be 5 years of age and no
older than 12 years old by the first day of camp.
A birth certificate or
copy of it is necessary if he or she is entering
kindergarten.
On the day of registration, full
payment for the first session your child attends is
due. Following sessions must be reserved with a
NONREFUNDABLE $25.00 deposit per
session. Bus service to and from camp will be
available for each session. Full payment for bus
service for all sessions will be due when you
register, and is NONREFUNDABLE.
Adventure Camp has limited space due
to the extensive amount of field trips, therefore,
registration is taken on a first come, first serve
basis.
